Local color

World's largest beach ball? People pay to get inside this orb and "walk on water."
Fish (mammal actually) out of water! If you zoom in on the far right side of this tenement on wheels, you will see the word "dolphin." It is not often that you spot an amphibious creature out of its normal habitat, but somehow, this one made it onto dry land. Amazing...
Fresh coconut milk, anyone? For only $5 per coconut....
It's Christmas year-round to this guy.
There was a guy in college I knew whose hobby was taking pictures of people by a street with their name on it. A bit strange, huh? Well, I guess I have some strange in me, too, considering I like taking pictures of local oddities such as the ones depicted in this post.
Look closely and you will see that this specimen Honda Accord has antique automobile plates. I am not a car expert, but I would imagine this is a late 70s model hatchback.....kind of strange that a car not too much older than I am is considered an antique.

  1. I believe that it's either 20 or 25 years before something is considered an antique (in the car world). We have a car show each Saturday in our downtown and I had to ask Peter why some of these cars were considered "classics". It reminds me of the quote from Indiana Jones - "It's not the years, it's the mileage". ;-)
