The First of Many!

Hopefully, this post will be the first of many! I (Catherine) have never thought of myself as a blogger but David and I both agreed that blogging would be a fun way to allow friends and family to keep track of our life . . . especially now that we have a baby on the way. The picture above was taken several weeks ago and shows my 28 week belly! Even as I type, Baby is actively moving and kicking!

We chose the name of our blog because it reflects how we view our life. We don't believe that our life is an isolated event in history that ends when we die. Instead, we truly believe that whether or not our circumstances make sense to us now, that if we submit ourselves to whatever God has for us, that He will use our lives for His glory and for part of His larger plan. In the Old Testament, the Israelites were instructed to teach their children and their children's children the stories of how God has worked in the past and shown His faithfulness throughout generations. Remembering how God has worked in the past brings assurance of His current and future love, provision, and enduring faithfulness. Israel always suffered (physically, politically, etc.) when she failed to remember God's faithfulness. This Christmas season we are so vividly reminded of God's faithfulness in sending His precious Son into a world so desperately in need of hope and salvation! Merry Christmas!
