Key West has a famous landmark -- a huge buoy marking the southernmost point in the continental U.S. There is almost always a line of tourists waiting to take their picture by this historic spot. We recently waited in line to get our picture taken beside the buoy (one of our few family pictures since becoming a family of four). At this spot, we are closer to Cuba than to the mainland U.S.
